Concert Reaction

27 George Thorogood 50 50 Tour Review Headline Capitol Theater Concord NH Nov 27 1981

Nashua Telegraph writer John Nogowski said of the Concord 50-50 tour stop, “It was more of an assault than a carefully planned show, but the slashing, careening sounds of [Thorogood’s] guitar, coupled with his impassioned, energetic performance of rhythm and blues and rock standards kept the show in overdrive throughout”.

Fate of the Venue:  The Capitol Theatre lives on as a venue for concerts and other events.  The original theater was extensively renovated in the mid-1990s, before being re-opened as The Capitol Center for the Arts in 1995.
